K. we got that out of the way. I cannot think of a way this story could have been told that would make it more entertaining and keep your eyes and ears glued to the screen. I liked the way that they incorporated this truly horrifying battle between evil and a young girl and the courtroom case that revolved around the priest who performed the exorcism on her.

Many critics are saying this is a ripoff of "The Exorcist" but I completely disagree. Yes they both deal with exorcisms but "Harry Potter" and "The Wizard of Oz" both deal with witches but Harry is not a ripoff. They are completely different in style and story and in my opinion this story remains believable (it is based on true events).

I was able to stay awake and I was able to follow the plot. I thought the second half of the film was action packed and suspenseful although somewhat repetitive in parts. The one thing it was not (which I expected it to be); Scary!! The trailer led me to believe there was maybe a sense of demons or supernatural evil surrounding the plot, but it just plain wasn't there (which is rare for a Wes Craven film). Other than that small dissapointment, I thought the movie was good... not great but not a waste of money to see either.

I would rate it as a good date movie and worth the price to get in (but don't expect it to be scary).

Review: The Skeleton Key (2005) (Author: iknowjack03 on 08/13/2005, Replies: 0)

Message: I went to see this because my wife really liked the trailer and also likes suspense/thrillers. I also enjoy them as well at least when the movie leaves some interpretation to you. The Skeleton Key was definitely a different take on a haunted house type of movie and did force you to think a little while pushing you through a thrillride of twists and turns. It actually was almost believable and allowed you to feel more encapsulated in the shuddery plot.

This movie will not scare the pants off of you but will make you think twice about entering into an old plantation house in Louisiana without being heavily armed . Kate Hudson's leading role was played well and the whole cast was credible. I would definitely say see this movie if you are into suspense movies but if you go into this movie looking for a horror film you will be dissapointed. Overall I enjoyed...

Review: The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) (Author: iknowjack03 on 08/13/2005, Replies: 0)

Message: I was a bit skeptical about going to see this movie after so many remakes lately being rated badly. I had to see it anyway and I rarely agree with the commercial critics anyway. This film kept me laughing all the way through. I watched the original T.V. show as a kid and enjoyed some of the references to it they made. The movie goes so many steps further though and adds a bit more depth and hilarity(is that a word) to the story.

The movie is still based on the Duke Boys being chased by the local police but the Dukes, played by Seann William Scott and Johnny Knoxville, kept the audience rolling in their seats. I remember Daisy being attractive but Jessica Simpson took it to a whole new level. It was a great debut for her. Willie Nelson was a great fit for Uncle Jessie and added an even more obnoxious and witty persona to the part. Burt Reynolds did a great...

Another Classic That Got Messed Up?- Not Exactly. Let's remember ladies and gentlemen that the T.V. show 's writing was not exactly equivalent to Shakespeare so if the movie is funny, Daisy is hot, and Jesse and the Duke Boys Kick some A$$ then I say it is probably worth seeing regardless of whether you are or are not a "Dukes Fan". If have not even seen the original show, what is life without a little risk. If you pay to see it and like or don't like it Post about it in the "Movie Reviews Forum" here.
